Cherriots Celebrates Bike Month with Exciting Events and Community Partnerships

This May, Cherriots is excited to celebrate Bike Month with a fun and educational campaign for the whole community. In partnership with local groups and businesses, we’re hosting weekly events to promote biking, teach important cycling skills, and support our downtown economy.

Bike Month runs from May 1 to May 30 and we invite local residents, commuters, business owners, and families to join us for activities that make biking safer, easier, and more fun!

What’s Happening During Bike Month?

Each week, there’s something new. You can find full event details and register through Eventbrite.

  • Helmet Giveaway and Kickoff Event – May 1 at the Downtown Transit Center (3–6 p.m.)
  • National Walk, Ride, and Roll to School Day – May 7 at local schools.
  • Bike Repair 101 Workshop – May 8 at Scott’s Cycle and Fitness (6–7:30 p.m.)
  • Family Ride – May 8 at Keizer Rapids Park (6-8 p.m.)
  • Group Ride – May 14 at Riverfront Park (6 p.m.)
  • Bike and Bus Demo + Bike Rodeo – May 22 at the Downtown Transit Center (4–6 p.m.)
  • Advanced Bike Repair Workshop – May 29 at The Northwest Hub (6:30 p.m.)
  • Family Bike Ride and Resource Fair – May 30 at Harritt Elementary (3 p.m.)
     

Passport Activity

Pick up a Bike Month Passport at any partner location! Each event you attend gets you closer to completing your passport and entering a prize raffle at the end of the month.
