Cherriots Celebrates Pride with New Bus Wrap by Local Artist

Cherriots is proud to introduce a new Pride-themed bus wrap designed by Kirra Pressey, a Cherriots employee and local artist.

Pride Month is a federally recognized celebration held every June to honor the history, resilience, and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community. This year, Cherriots coordinated its celebration around Salem’s annual Pride in the Park, bringing the unveiling of the Pride bus directly into a cherished local tradition.

In her artist statement, Pressey shared:

“I created Our Identities, Our Soundtrack to celebrate joy and resistance. Each vinyl record carries the colors of a different Pride flag, exemplifying the vast spectrum of LGBTQIA+ identities. Together we create a powerful collective soundtrack. With every spin, our anthem of pride, solidarity, and authentic self-expression continues.”

This bus is a moving celebration of identity, unity, and resilience. Each ride serves as a reminder of community strength and the importance of creating space for every voice.

The Pride bus will be on the streets starting the weekend of September 13-14, 2025.

Stay tuned for more creative collaborations and community-forward projects coming soon.
